OUR STORY
Thandi Ndhlovu, who is physically disabled and a strong proponent of support for the disabled, started the Sithandiwe Disabled Care Centre in 2006.
This remarkable woman, with compassionate heart, dedicated herself to help and empower people with disabilities to grow and develop, in a welcoming and safe environment. Sithandiwe is a Care Centre for children with profound or intellectual disabilities between the ages of 3 and 18 years. There are 44 children who benefit from this exceptional place on an ongoing basis. Initially, the Centre provided the disabled with the opportunity to learn how to sew and practice bead work. Over the years, the amount of activities, varying types of care and development opportunities have multiplied. |
